Mommy and Me Valentine Party

Last week my daughter and I had a few friends over for a Mommy and Me Valentine Party. We had lunch, made Valentine cards and decorated pink cookies. The little girls had a blast giggling and making things while us moms had fun...well....giggling and making things. ;)

I made each little girl a party hat using a basic cone template and cutting it out using white cardstock. I thought these pink Whisker Graphic bags would be perfect to cover the hats with. I cut the bags in half, wrapped them around the cone and adhered using my Mega Runner. I then attached paper hearts to the front of the hat and added a bit of tissue garland around the bottom and top.  I love how the middle hat looks like pink frosting on a Valentine cookie. So sweet!

Here are mini goodie bags I made for the girls.  I sealed the top of the bag and turned it on its side, I then cut the side off so it was envelope style and filled it with conversation hearts and pink jelly beans. I embellished the bag with a Sweet Sticky Label, a be mine heart and a mini clothespin.

I made the same bag for the moms by sealing the top of the bag, turning it on its side and cutting the side of the bag off.  I embellished with pink doilies, bingo cards and hearts.

These little bags held stamps, stickers and little heart notepads for the girls to draw on. I tied a little Valentine tag to the bag using Cotton Candy Divine Twine.

Each little girl also received a little love bug to take home. :)

The decorations were simple. I used my Cricut machine and cut out several hearts and attached them to strands of Cotton Candy Divine Twine using glue. After the glue had dried, I hung the strands from the ceiling. It was so fun to see a flurry of hearts hanging all throughout the living room.

For lunch I thought it would be fun to have little bite size foods presented in muffin tins. The girls loved their heart shaped cheese (that's why there are no photos of it in the tins!). We had carrots, grapes, cheese, crackers, oranges and s'more snack mix.  We also had pizza but the muffin tins were such a hit that no one really paid any attention to the pizza!

When the party was over and it was time to go home, each girl received this cute felt envelope to carry her valentines and goodies home in. I bought it from Target in the dollar spot (LOVE that dollar spot!).

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a beautiful Valentine's Day! xox
